Daniel


Daniel 1:2-4 – when Jerusalem is besieged, Nebuchadnezzar takes the best of the best kids/young people back to Babylon to teach them the Babylonian ways.
Daniel 1:6 – Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah – the Hebrew names of four of them .
Daniel 1:7 – Now Belteshazzar, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
Daniel 1:8-14 – Daniel and his three friends didn’t want the king’s fine meat and wine, but the guy in charge was afraid they wouldn’t look as nice as the others, so they gave it a trial run.
Daniel 1:1516 – they won that one – the four looked better than all the rest.
Daniel 1:17 – God gave them knowledge and wisdom – Daniel understood visions and dreams.
Daniel 1:19-20 – the king communed with them and found them the best and they got in high places with the king.
Daniel 2:17-18 – Daniel and his friends asked God to show Daniel the meaning of the king’s dream so they would not be killed.
Daniel 2:19-23 – God revealed it to Daniel and he praised God.
Daniel 2:27-28 – Men can do nothing but God can do everything.
Daniel 2:31-45 – the vision of the king explained *Look it up in more detail; it is an interesting study – Look up “the dream of Nebuchadnezzar powerpoint” and click on the first link that has [ppt] in front of it and says Daniel Chapter 2 – Bible Study Resource Center*
Daniel 2:47-49 – the king praises “Daniel’s” God and sets him in a place of high power – so were his friends once Daniel requested it.
Daniel 3:1-6 – the king made a large statue and gets together all the important officials and orders them to bow down and worship it when they hear the music.
Daniel 3:12 – Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego didn’t.
Daniel 3:15-18 – the king gives them a second chance: bow down and worship, or die.  The three tell him then and there that no way would they do that.  God would protect them.
Daniel 3:19-22 – Nebuchadnezzar was furious and ordered the furnace seven times hotter than normal, bound the three guys, and cast them into the furnace.  The guards throwing them in died from the heat.
Daniel 3:23-27 – They see FOUR people inside the furnace – walking around.  The three guys and “the fourth is like the Son of God.”  So the king called them out and they didn’t even smell of smoke.
Daniel 3:28-29 – the king turns to God and threatens whoever speaks against Him.
Daniel 3:30 – Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego are promoted yet again.
Daniel 4:3 – praises to God
Daniel 4:25-26 – the king has another dream and this is the meaning.
Daniel 4:30-37 – what happens to the prideful king and how he turns to God and is restored.
Daniel 5:4-8 – the new king, Nebby’s son Belshazzar, and his important people drink wine and worship false gods so there is something written on the wall by a hand and no one can figure it out.
Daniel 5:10-16 – the queen tells the king of Daniel and his abilities so Daniel is called in
Daniel 5:17-28 – Daniel explains the writing on the wall
Daniel 5:30 – that night the kind was slain.
Daniel 6:1-2 – the new king, Darius, set Daniel really in charge.
Daniel 6:3-4 – Daniel was preferred “because an excellent spirit was in him,” but jealous guys tried to find error in him but they could never find error or fault in him.
Daniel 6:7 – they get the king to make a decree that people can only pray to him for thirty days or be thrown in the lions’ den.
Daniel 6:10-11 – Daniel knows about the law but he goes right up to his room to pray to God like always – FAITHFUL.  The guys catch him.
Daniel 6:13-14 – they told the king and he was displeased with himself.
Daniel 6:16-17 – Daniel was sealed into the lions’ den.
Daniel 6:18 – that night the king fasted.
Daniel 6:19-20 – the king hurried to see if Daniel was ok
Daniel 6:22-23 – Daniel tells him “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths.”  The king was happy and they brought Daniel out safe “because he believed in his God.”
Daniel 6:24 – the king cast the jealous guys, their wives and their kids into the lions’ den and all their bones were broken into pieces.

Daniel 7:1-28 – Daniel’s vision
Daniel 7:9-10 – awesome in power
Daniel 7:13-14 – the Son of man
Daniel 8:1-27 – another vision
Daniel 8:16 – mention of Gabriel
Daniel 8:17-18 – Gabriel comes over to Daniels
Daniel 8:27 – Daniel fainted and was sick certain days, ad astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
Daniel 9:2 – Daniel understands what he reads in Jeremiah
Daniel 9:3 – Daniel seeks by prayer and supplication, with fasting
Daniel 9:19-20 – Daniel praying…
Daniel 9:21-27 – Gabriel comes again to speak to Daniel and foretells about eh Messiah
Daniel 10:5-9 – Daniel sees another vision, a man, described here.
Daniel 10:10-12 – the man speaks
Daniel 10:13 – Michael the archangel
Daniel 10:16-19 – Daniel is given strength
Daniel 10:21 – Michael again
Daniel 12:1 – Michael, those found written in the book will be delivered
Daniel 12:2 – GREAT verse about rising from the graves in the last days
Daniel 12:3 – AWESOME VERSE
Daniel 12:6-7 – time – when he scatters the power of the holy people

Ezekiel 1:1 – Nice start.  Down by the river Ezekiel saw visions of God.
Ezekiel 1:3 – Ezekiel the priest, son of Buzi
Ezekiel 1:4-28 – what Ezekiel saw “Ezekiel Saw The Wheel
Ezekiel 2:1-10 – the spirit enters and speaks to Ezekiel
Ezekiel 8:2-18 – the incredible vision Ezekiel saw of the abominations against God
Ezekiel 10:1-16 – more wheels and cherubims
Ezekiel 10:13 – O wheel
Ezekiel 10:14 – each cherub had four faces – cherub, man, lion, eagle
Ezekiel 13:3 – foolish prophets – woe unto them!
Ezekiel 16:30 – how weak is thine heart!
Ezekiel 18:4-9 – a just man…
Ezekiel 18:19-21 – The Soul That Sinneth It Shall Die
Ezekiel 18:30 – each is judged separately

Isaiah 6:8 – Here am I; send me
