God Writings: There is More than Average

Why live the “average Christian life” when there is so much more?  Who can rightly be content where they are, with not searching out the presence of God?  God has so much more planned for us when we become his children.  What father doesn’t want the best for his children?  And God is so much more our Father!  Even our highest dreams and aspirations can’t compare to what he has for us!  His love is so great…His love is ACTION.  And if we let him, he will take over and transform our lives with his glory!  We have the power, through him, to do all that Christ did when he walked this earth!  What would the world be like if we acted with the authority we have through Jesus Christ? Why isn’t it that way?

The Hands of God

The same hands that shaped this earth

Are the ones that formed me.

These hands held mine when I feared

And held me above the overwhelming flood.

These hands beckoned me to open arms

And clasped me tightly.

These  hands guided me when I was blind

And kept me on the path of righteousness.

These hands held us together

When we were falling apart.

These hands have touched

Do touch, and will always touch my life.

What hands are they?

They are the hands of God.

You breathed the stars

And yet you made me.

Your purpose for my life is still elusive, like sand slipping from my fingers.

But I look at the sky and the grass and the stars and the clouds and every beautiful thing you created, and I realize…

You will make your purpose known.  You love me with a love greater than the sky, than the sea, than all the particles of sand, than all of the universe…

That you breathed and spoke into being.
