Jonah

Jonah 1:1 – Jonah, son of Amittai

Jonah 1:2 – Arise, go to Nineveh!

Jonah 1:3 – instead of obeying, Jonah went to Joppa and got a boat to Tarshish

Jonah 1:4 – God sent a mighty tempest – Jonah was fast asleep

Jonah 1:12 – Jonah told the men it was his fault and to cast him into the sea

Jonah 1:14-15 – the men cried on to God to not let them die for tossing Jonah overboard and they did it and the sea became calm

Jonah 1:17 – Jonah was swallowed by a great fish – was inside it for 3 days and 3 nights 

Jonah 2:1-9 – Jonah prayed to God from inside the fish

Jonah 2:10 – the fist vomited Jonah onto dry land

Jonah 3:1-3 – God told Jonah a second time to go to Nineveh and he finally obeyed

Jonah 3:5-10 – the people of Nineveh repented and God spared them

Jonah 4:1-11 – Jonah was angry about it all and wanted to die, but God talked some sense into him
