While at a
friend’s youth group one Wednesday evening, the activity was choosing an
attribute of God and finding as many verses as possible to back up that
statement. The point of it was to not
only be searching through the scriptures, but to be able to say why we believe
what we believe. Why is our God
alive? Because the Bible says so, and I
can show you where – you know, that sort of thing. I enjoyed the activity – it was much like a
treasure hunt in the Bible for, indeed, the Bible is full of treasures – God’s
words to us. I encourage you to do this
activity yourself (after all, I can’t put on every single one of the verses) and
meanwhile I will be posting one attribute with verses every so often.
